  19.     "RainbowSystem" is a 24  bit  (16  million  of  colours)  powerful
  20.   graphic functions library which  adapts  the  video  output  to  the
  21.   graphic hardware where it runs.

  23.   For example, an application which uses it, will be able  to  display
  24.   its  graphics  directly  in  16  million  colours on an Amiga with a
  25.   graphic card installed, or in 256 colours on an AGA Amiga, or  in  a
  26.   gray  scale on an ECS Amiga, without any modify by the programmer or
  27.   by the user!

  29.   So, using 'RainbowSystem' is  useful  for  the  users  and  for  the
  30.   programmers:  the  ones  can  use  applications which better work on
  31.   their hardware (remember that 'RainbowSystem' doesn't need a graphic
  32.   card,  but  it uses it if present), the others can (finally!) forget
  33.   shared pens, colormap, palette, public screens, etc.  etc.  and  can
  34.   create  very  powerful  applications, running on every public screen
  35.   directly in 16  million  colours  without  any  trouble,  having  in
  36.   service a very simple and powerful instructions set.
